People always want to know what secrets makeup artists (like myself) keep in their bag of tricks to make models look flawless and radiant during fashion week. The truth is, models often need a lot of help from us to get perfect looking skin.
In fact, I wrote an article a while back called “Models With Bad Skin and What That Means To You”— it’s worth a read.
Since we makeup artists are responsible for making skin look flawless, we each cling to the products we have discovered that work immediately to give the effect of perfectly radiant, beautiful skin even when a model walks in with all sorts of problems on her face.
More and more I see my colleagues with natural products backstage. Why? Because they work!
In this video about Natural Skin Care Products Makeup Artists Love you’ll hear from three of my colleagues who are internationally working makeup artists, each with over a decade of experience doing makeup.
This isn’t the stuff you’ll see in magazines because that is too often a lot of that is manufactured hype. These are the secret weapons that makeup artists pull out when the other cameras and reporters aren’t around.
I whipped out my video camera whenever I could steal a couple of rare moments and the final result was pretty darn awesome, if I do say so myself!
At the very end you’ll hear from a model whose makeup I did. From dry patches, to rosacea, to acne, she had a bit of a disaster zone going on. She shares in her own words how genuinely surprised and happy she was when she saw how much better her skin felt and looked after using the natural products I put on her face.
I hope this video gives you some new ideas for your own skin care too!
