Tween Natural Skin Care: Good For You Girls Review

by Kristen Arnett on June 28, 2012 | Posted in Answers & Advice, Teens, Tweens & Sprouts

Tweens are somewhere between girls and teenagers, and dealing with blemishes for a tween can be particularly problematic.    Hormone changes can start causing blackheads and pimples to appear on the skin.  As little girls, they never had to be diligent about cleansing their faces, but as young women in the making they need products specifically tailored to them – easy and fun to use – which will help them develop good grooming habits for a lifetime.  Of course those habits should include stellar, non-toxic ingredients.

Audrey, our 1o-year old, tween reviewer is my younger sister.   She started noticing her skin was getting “lots of little bumps on it” – yep, those would be pimples!  I would never let her slather on anything that you’d find in the traditional aisle of the drugstore.  Those are filled with “yucky” ingredients and are way to harsh for still delicate, youthful skin. Luckily, Good For You Girls came to the rescue!  Their company is dedicated to using all-natural ingredients, and organic when possible.  They were kind enough to send a package of their skin care regime for Audrey to try out.  Much to my surprise and hers, she was actually consistent at using the products day and night.  Ultimately she, her friends and the moms of her friends noticed a positive change in her skin.

IT sounds wonderful and loved the tutorial with your little sister but wish you had a similar package for boys since my son is only 13 and having a terrible time with pimples….

“Good for you Girls” was made with the intention of being for girls in design, but the formula is universal. What if you bought the set for your son, and put it in plain plastic containers so it didn’t seem like a “girl” product?
