Kristen Arnett is a rare hybrid within the beauty industry, working an international makeup artist, beauty educator and brand consultant for over 15 years.
Shortly after receiving her business degree at University of Southern California, Kristen worked for a large cosmetics brand, collaborating on color product development. Years later, she quit corporate life to become a freelance makeup artist…and never looked back.
Green isn’t just another shade in her palette nor is it a limiting factor in her work, but rather a defining one. As an artist Kristen delivers high-performance results using non-toxic makeup helping keep clients’ skin looking spectacular under any circumstance be it on runway shows, photo shoots or for live events, garnering praise from celebrities, top models and regular women alike.
As an expert she appears on television, writes beauty articles for several publications, speaks and trains people around the globe (in both English and Italian). Kristen has been featured as an expert in ELLE, Whole Living, Style.com, Town & Country Weddings, Parents, and DailyCandy. She has been a speaker on sustainable beauty for notable organizations such as the HBA Global Expo and Fashion Institute of Technology.
Though transformation through makeup was always her passion, at age 15 makeup became a necessity to hide acne; a skincare battle that would last a decade. Unsuccessful medical treatments led Kristen to seek other solutions, and to the ultimate discovery that natural skin care and healthy nutrition were her answers. Kristen credits May Lindstrom (scroll below to read about her) as the person who officially introduced her into the green beauty world, and since then has been a true devotee.
Through extensive and on-going research, Kristen built a makeup kit, and a beauty cabinet filled with cosmetics that work as hard as they play; seeking out products that are nourishing for the body and healthier for the environment…and help keep skin clear!
A stickler for health, Kristen now focuses her talents and personal ethics on educating people about choosing the best in green beauty.
